Onboard Investors

Onboarding investors involves collecting their information, verifying their identities, and creating investor accounts on the T-REX Platform. Using the Servicing App, you can configure the specific information and documents you need to request from your investors, ensuring the onboarding process aligns with your compliance and operational requirements.

To ensure compliance and eliminate the risk of losing access to assets due to wallet issues, our platform leverages the ERC-3643 standard. This standard links token ownership to onchain identity smart contracts, ONCHAINIDs, instead of wallets. In this approach, an onchain identity is created for each investor, shifting wallets from being custodial tools to acting solely as signing tools for onchain operations.

During the onboarding process, wallet information is collected to connect the signing tool to the investor account and onchain identity. For users less familiar with wallets, we offer an integrated wallet option that abstracts the concept of wallets entirely. These users can create a passkey—similar to a digital banking process—and use familiar methods like FaceID or TouchID to claim their wallets and sign transactions seamlessly.

Methods to Create Investor Accounts:

  1. Investor Self-Registration: Investors (or their legal representatives) can register directly through your Investor App by completing the registration and onboarding funnel.
  2. Bulk or Individual Account Creation: You can onboard investors in bulk using a CSV file or create accounts individually using a form. This method bypasses the standard onboarding process, making it particularly useful for existing investor clients from traditional systems who are already verified and need a seamless transition on to the platform.

Each investor account is uniquely identified by their email address, which also serves as the access account for the Investor App. This email address is linked to a corresponding ONCHAINID smart contract onchain, securely representing the investor’s identity—whether they are an individual or an entity.
